An NP is also taught to diagnose common acute problems, interpret laboratory results and x ray findings, conduct awareness seminars for preventive measures about epidemics, take medical history of patients, conduct a thorough examination, diagnose and recommend a treatment or refer to a specialized professional if the concerned matter needs specialized opinion.
