To find employment in the profession of criminal justice, you need to enroll in a certificate or a degree program in criminal justice education. These include diploma, associate, bachelor, master and doctorate in criminal justice. You can take up any of these degree programs to become a criminal justice professional. The diploma or the certificate in criminology is the beginner’s level course which allows you to enter the workforce in as less as one year. However, since it’s an introductory level course you can only be employed in beginner’s level jobs. Doctorate in Criminal Justice is the highest level of education in the profession allowing applicants to take up research and development opportunities in the field.
