Developmental psychology is a perspective under the broad spectrum of educational psychology. Educational psychology is concerned with the scientific study of human learning. This study helps researchers understand the individual differences in cognitive development, intelligence, affect, motivation, self concept and self regulation. Developmental psychology on the other hand, is simply the psychology of cognitive development.
