Achieving a large-scale success in the 1980s, Bon Jovi is a hard rock band from New Jersey with the lead singer Jon Bon Jovi. After two booming albums in 1984 and 1985, the band scored big with Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988), selling 19 million copies, charted eight Top Ten hits, attaining the global superstardom. After non-stop touring, an interval came after the New Jersey Tour in 1990, when Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora released their solo albums. Returning with the double platinum in 1992, a string of platinum albums was created throughout the 1990s and 2000s, thus expanding their musical horizons, combining rock with pop, adult contemporary, and country. In October 2007 the band announced the Lost Highway Tour. Starting with the New Jersey gigs, the band has planned to Bon Jovi tour Canada and Japan, alongwith Europe, Australia and America. The Lost Highway Tour will mark Bon Jovi's first concert in New Zealand with performance at Super Bowl XLII show.
