Think about the benefits of a summer internship for a moment.  Selection procedures are getting tougher ' you'll probably have first-round interviews, then second and third rounds with several firms.  You'll be quizzed and tested by a series of demanding interviews and exercises so that the firm gets to know you quickly and thoroughly. 

It's at least as exhausting as finals, maybe more so.  By taking an internship, you'll have insight and experience into how one of the world's leading financial institutions work ' and find out more about yourself in the process.  It's the kind of experience that can make a real impression on your interviewers.

A Education internship is a two-way process.  As you get to know more about the business and test your skills in live situations, we get to know you ' to learn more about you than any number of interviews would allow.   

You'll be treated just like any other member of the team and you'll be given a first-class structured training programme.  But most important of all, you'll be exposed to some really exciting commercial challenges.  You will also be joined by others from all over Europe, giving you a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded ambitious people.

Education's summer internship programme lasts around ten weeks. Your start date will be confirmed with your internship offer but you will be required to start in July. You will need to apply using our on-line application form by January 29, 2006.  We do ask that you apply for a particular business area so it's important that you spend time exploring the different businesses and career opportunities before you submit your application.

An internship really does offer you the chance to show us what you're made of.  And at the end of it, you might decide you want more and if you perform well on the programme you could return to university with a permanent offer to join us the following year.  Or you might decide it's not for you, but at least you've tried it out for yourself.
