  What would I do'
You won't be sitting around twiddling your thumbs that's for sure.

An internship is a two-way process and it's as important to us as it is to you that the experience is a valuable one.  Investment banking is a complex industry ' learning about us from literature just can't compete with the first-hand experience you'll get from a structured internship programme.

By taking an internship, you'll gain insight and experience into how one of the world's leading financial institutions works ' and find out more about yourself in the process.  It's the kind of experience that can make a real impression on your interviewers.

From day one you are expected to participate rather than observe.  You'll gain an insight into our business areas and how the different groups work together.  You'll go back to university with practical experience of the career you are contemplating, and first-hand knowledge of the people and the environment.  And after talking to our recent interns we know this can make a huge difference when considering your career options.

From day one we'll assume that you can handle responsibility, so whilst you'll have every opportunity to learn from those around you, you'll also have a job to do as a fully contributing member of the team.  It can be intense, demanding and tough, but also very rewarding, fulfilling and a lot of fun.  Knowledge of the financial markets or the individual business areas is not required ' an ability to learn quickly is far more important, because we'll teach you all you need to know.  Our interns do tend to show numerical ability and a highly analytical mind.  You will need to be tenacious and conscientious and work well as part of team.  The most vital quality of all will be your ability to communicate.

There will be challenging projects in whichever business area you choose, but your colleagues will be more than willing to help you.  With their experience and accessibility combined with business training and product sessions, you'll be kept very busy and get to understand your business team quickly.

And it's not all just work.  An energetic and intensive social events and training programme will help you learn all about Education as well as start to build a vital network of colleagues and friends for the future.

Of course, you may decide that banking is not for you. It is much better to discover this during an internship rather than after you've graduated and accepted a permanent offer.  In a short, relatively intense period of time, we'll help you to see if there's a mutual fit.

Having earned many Grammy Awards and an Academy Award, Bruce Springsteen’s biography is quite colorful with a long chain of eventful incidents and numerous hit songs. His album, Born in the U.S.A. (1984), sold 15 million copies in the U.S. alone and became one of the best-selling albums of all time with seven singles hitting the top 10 (Bruce Springsteen live version also appeared on Tracks, in a later album). "Dancing in the Dark" was the biggest of seven hit singles from Born in the U.S.A., peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard music charts. He has won a total of fifteen Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Hall of Fame in 1999. That same year, Springsteen was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
