With over $750 billion to be put to work on behalf of some of the world's biggest institutional clients, our business isn't governed by the markets ' whatever the climate we have to invest and actively manage our clients' money to find them the best possible return.
Taking a long term view, and effectively managing an annuity stream rather than being driven by actual transaction fees, underlines the importance attached to our reputation. Being in it for the long term means we're more likely to measure performance on a three to five year period or longer. Our responsibility to our clients comes from our role as a fiduciary, where acting in their best interests is upheld by a strong regulatory framework. With almost 130 years of experience, and the unique reputation that goes with it, we maintain leadership positions in both retail and institutional markets with our provision of cash, fixed income, equity and alternative investments.
Our overall objective remains simple ' to be the world's best investment manager ' but what does it take to succeed' In today's globally competitive market, there are five qualities that truly differentiate the winners: trust, responsibility, integrity, innovation and performance. And with the experience and expertise of over 500 investment professionals working locally around the world and our award-winning performance ' we are well on our way to achieving our objective of being the world's best investment manager.
Being the best means employing the best people and evidence of that is no better illustrated than through Chris Complin's award of Best UK Fund Manager by the Citiwire survey 2004. With two other fund managers ranked in the top 50, backed by dedicated experts across the globe, we have the teams in place to manage our clients' assets through upturns and downturns alike.
If you can bring a mature, academic and analytical mind to our business, we can stimulate it with a client base whose need for investment solutions in an increasingly complex world is growing all the time. We wouldn't gamble with our clients' money, and we don't want you to gamble with your career. We'd rather see you invest in a winner.
