One of the most critical challenges in today's educational architecture of universities and colleges is the propagation of quality religion science classes. With a momentum change in sectarian climate all over the world, people are becoming more interested in learning about various religions and the impact of religion science on all aspects of mankind. This trend can be validated by the exponential growth in the number of students registering for religion classes all over the world. Also the number of teachers being deployed in United States alone also testifies to the growing number of students being enrolled for supplementary religion science classes. These statistics are alarming in the sense that strategies and policies need to be in place prior to partake upon such a tremendous work load. Books have to be validated by all religion sects and the teachers need to keep their personal propensities out of the training programs.
Religion science is an extremely difficult subject in the sense that it seems to be related to different segments of the social fabrics of life. Thousands of books have been written in different times on this subject that has linkage to certain churches, mosques and even synagogues. Even district, regional, national, and worldwide denominational headquarters are proud to be a part of the knowledge base on religion and the science behind this subject. All different sectors have their own inputs and feedback regarding this intriguing subject. According to a recent publication from DePaul University in Chicago, approximately 40 percent of the books on religion science have their affiliations with specific missionaries around the world and respective religious organizations.
Specialist schools and universities need to be more strategic and have a systemic approach to the various levels of religion science classes being taught at different levels. Seminary schools need to incorporate stringent guidelines in revealing various knowledge related to the religious sciences so that there is no variance in the curriculum and what is taught and propagated among the masses. Several major religion science majors even learn and obtain specific degrees by gaining related experience through volunteering with local churches and religious organizations. And in many missionary or religion science teaching projects, students are allowed opportunities to travel around the world and get a first hand eye of different religions.
Interestingly enough, the leaders and leadership skills being taught will also correspond with the leadership and authoritative positions held by important religious scientists during certain eras.
Irrespective of the different schools of thought and the mannerism of delivery, the basic principles and general philosophy of religion sciences is greatly the same. The students develop many transferable skills that can be can be utilized in a variety of careers and jobs, demonstrating the flexibility and capacity for growing further understanding of different religions sciences. These skills include analytical, organizational, research, as well as oral and written communication skills. It is critical that the overall philosophy be imbedded into all the schools and universities that proclaim definitive understanding of religion sciences.
