Life Long Learning

Life Long Learning is a concept that encourages learning as a sustained process that corresponds to what we experience or learn. Though conventional education preaches that it is increasingly difficult to teach an older person, Life Long Learning is an inclusive concept that does not highlight any age barriers to learning. Based on this thought, we believe that community learning and development, further education, higher education, work-based learning, etc. take place.
Life Long Learning has indeed opened the doorway to a new era in the concepts of learning. If you look at the amount of short courses, advanced degrees, in-service training, etc. that have all cropped up in recent years, it can be said that the concept of Life Long Learning has already been unconsciously accepted. This is despite the fact that few traditional-minded individuals are not ready to digest this fact. Those that do, believe that learning as you grow older cannot match learning when you are younger. Regardless, Life Long Learning is widely popular, especially in the business world.
In the corporate world, Life Long Learning is given tremendous importance because organizations believe that they can improve their services through it. There are a variety of courses and trainings that they put employees through at regular intervals. Examples of common types of training implemented include: call-centre agent training, strategic marketing of individual services and products, executive development, etc. Apart from the corporate world benefiting from the concept of Life Long Learning, the education industry has extended education programs.
Today, it is common for married people and employed individuals to engage themselves in Life Long Learning. This may be in a variety of forms, and it helps to accommodate individuals who may not have had the opportunity to complete their education earlier. Many individuals begin working after they are done with high school. These individuals work and save money to complete their degrees at a later date. Age is no barrier to completing a degree, and so, you have individuals working at top posts who also earn their degrees to improve their career prospects. The education industry as a whole is now bourgeoning with the expansion of advanced education programs.
Life Long Learning also accommodates individuals who are not necessarily interested in pursuing a degree. This is because immigrants too, who may be of any age, need to engage in some of learning that will benefit them in their new homeland. Immigrants are often asked to take up English courses when they wish to settle in the UK or the U.S. Indeed, these individuals are from various age groups too.
Finally, it can be said that there are many ways of engaging in Life Long Learning. Whether you are an immigrant, a person out of high school who wants to pursue a degree at a later stage, etc. you can do so just be registering yourself at suitable institutions. For example, if you are employed during the day, you can enrol yourself at colleges that provide evening or night study sessions. If you are intending to immigrate, you can register yourself for an online IELTS online. There are also many other Life Long Learning courses to take up.
