Capella University offers online certificate, bachelors, masters and doctoral programs in the fields of business, technology, education, human services and psychology. Further more the University offers 15 certificate programs along with a total of 104 specializations in undergraduate and graduate degrees. Capella University aims its programs towards those adults who are looking, to maximize their professional as well as personal standard by gaining more knowledge and skills in the discipline that they want to enter or are already related to it.
Capella University’s history draws back from 1991, when an ex-CEO of Tonka, Stephen Shank established an entity with an aim of providing education that targets the adult students. Dr. Harold Abel took the charge as the first president of the Graduate School of America in 1993, which was created after the Collaboration of Dr. Harold and Stephen Shank. Later that year the school was renamed to Capella University. The university received its accreditation 4 years later in 1997 and then two years later the parent entity established by Shank was renamed to Capella Education Company.
Capella University offers a wide array of degree programs to choose from, so that the adult students, seeking to go or already related to some specific disciplines, can unleash their potential and prosper further, both professionally and personally. Capella University also offers generous financial aids and grants, from which 75% of the total students take benefit.
