After completing a span of five decades in 2007, Bronx Community College has maintained to provide quality education not limited only to the local domiciles but also the students from around the world. Since its establishment in 1957, the facilities and technologies provided to the students are being improved so that the students can be provided with the up to date technologies and methodologies. Another factor that makes the college stand out from the rest is its helping and encouraging staff and faculty, which are always there with the academic and social wellbeing of the students in their minds.

The college was established in 1957, after the notable efforts of civic-minded local citizens who felt the need of a higher education institution in Bronx. In 1973 the New York University under the threat of bankruptcy sold the University Heights Campus to Dormitory Authority of New York, hence later that year BCC moved to its new campus new the Harlem River.

With the goal of assisting students with their financial needs to pursue to education, BCC offers a diverse range of Grants, Scholarships and loans. BCC is proud to offer $18 every year for these Grants and Scholarship programs. Apart from offering a diverse range of degrees, training programs and continuing education programs, BCC’s campus also offer its students the facilities such as student center, Olympic style swimming pool, to date exercise equipment, television studio along with meeting and performance spaces
