The Art Institute Online is a part of the system of 35 Art Institutes located in Pittsburgh, PA North America. This online school offers degree programs and non-degree diploma courses in a variety of creative fields. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh was founded in 1921, launched an Online Division in 2000. With 14 academic programs, the Institute is the leader in online creative arts education and is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division provides art training and education to the busy people as well as serves as an online class environment for on-ground Art Institute students. The online class environment follows the Socratic Method, including classroom discussion and participation as key aspects of the learning model.
