Doctorate level accounting degrees offered by various online U.S. educational institutions generally require five years of full-time education to complete. However, in certain cases, these degrees may be awarded in less than five years provided the student has fulfilled all graduation, thesis, and credit requirements of the program. On the other hand, students that are not able to complete their desired doctorate educational qualification within the standard five year period may take up to two additional years to complete their degree program.
